Family
Having two young children seems to accelerate time and it’s become something of an obsession to document our lives together visually, particularly as they change so much so quickly.
Many of my photographs are of genuine, uncontrived family moments at home, situations that just present themselves as opposed to pre-planned. I shoot these photographs in a style typically described as photojournalistic. The emphasis is on showing life, however it unfolds on a particular day. I feel that shooting this way leads to images that are filled with the tangible warmth, humour, interaction and honesty of everyday life at that time, and in turn holds more emotional value when the time comes to look back at them.
